Start with the customer and the walking routine
Decide whether the range is intended for everyday urban walks, an outdoor-inspired collection or a lighter mesh option. This gives you a useful way to compare products without treating every illuminated harness as interchangeable. A mesh design may suit a different merchandising story from a panelled camouflage model.
Keep the product promise specific. NORZEN’s current LED harness range uses rechargeable lighting controlled by an on/off switch. A standalone LED harness should not be described as a GPS tracker or as an app-controlled product unless a separate compatible configuration has been agreed.
Compare materials and weights by model
The XH-01 Oxford LED dog harness and the XH-02 mesh LED dog harness illustrate two different constructions. Review fabric feel, seam finish, adjustment and the available area for a custom logo on the actual samples.
Compare weights for the sizes you intend to buy. The XH-02 specification lists 115 g, 130 g and 145 g for S, M and L. Those values belong to that model and should not be used in the listing of another harness that happens to look similar.
Build the assortment around neck and chest measurements
Ask for the neck and chest range of each size. Measure the neck near its base and the widest part of the chest behind the front legs, then compare both measurements with the same size in the selected model’s chart.
Size labels alone are not enough: an XL in one model can differ from an XL in another. If a larger chest range is important, the blue XH-05 harness includes an XXL option with a listed chest range of 90–120 cm. Review fit on a sample before making breed-specific claims.
Demonstrate the light and explain the limits
Show the approved sample with the light both on and off. Check how the trim appears in the conditions you intend to photograph and demonstrate. Active LED lighting and passive reflective material are different features; neither should be inferred from the other.
The current standalone LED harness specifications identify the products as non-waterproof. Keep that information in the care guidance. Supplier-rated lighting duration is also different from a guarantee of performance in every condition.
Write a useful private label sample brief
List the model, size-and-color quantities, logo artwork, intended placement and any packaging requirements. Ask which details can be customized and what that means for sample cost, minimum quantity and lead time.
For the final sample review, check fit, construction, lighting operation, branding and the instructions that will accompany the product. Use the approved configuration as the reference for your retail copy and product photography.
