Choose the destination market first
Tell your supplier the country and intended mobile carrier before selecting the hardware version. The XH-01 4G GPS pet tracker has separate regional LTE Cat 1 band lists in its current specification. Those lists help start a compatibility review; they do not guarantee service with every network in a region.
For multi-country distribution, record the approved hardware and service configuration for each market. Avoid describing one version as universally compatible without the evidence to support that claim.
Separate positioning from connectivity
GPS, assisted GPS, Wi-Fi positioning and cellular communication describe different parts of a tracking system. Confirm which methods the selected model actually supports. Do not copy satellite-system names or connectivity features from another model’s brochure.
A cellular pet tracker also differs from a Bluetooth-only finding tag. For the Nano SIM models, confirm the compatible SIM and data service. For the XH-05 wellness tracker, review the virtual SIM service and its terms.
Confirm the app with the sample
The supplementary product range includes 365GPS and Like Pet configurations. Request the correct download details, supported mobile operating systems and binding instructions for the device you will receive. App availability alone does not prove compatibility with every hardware or firmware version.
Test activation, location updates, history and geofence notifications. If web access, family sharing or other functions are important, include them explicitly in the sample review rather than assuming all configurations provide them.
Understand battery and water-resistance statements
Standby time is not continuous-tracking runtime. Reporting frequency, signal conditions and the functions being used can affect battery performance. Agree on the operating conditions behind any runtime claim you plan to use in your sales materials.
Water-resistance statements must refer to the exact model and configuration. Different documents may describe different versions. Request the applicable specification or test evidence instead of transferring a rating from one device to another.
Review mounting, packaging and ongoing costs
Check how the tracker attaches to the intended collar or holder. Confirm device dimensions, weight and the parts included in the box. A compact appearance does not establish a suitable fit for every dog or cat.
Ask whether the quotation includes the device, collar, charging accessory, SIM activation or a service period. Separate one-time hardware costs from recurring charges. This helps your team write a clear offer for customers and avoids an incomplete product bundle.
Approve a market-specific trial
Before a wholesale order, test the selected configuration in the intended market. Review the location view, alerts, battery behavior, mounting and onboarding instructions. If the model lists wellness functions, evaluate those separately from location tracking.
Record the approved model, firmware or app configuration, service requirements and branding in the order specification. That document should guide the quotation, sample approval and final customer-facing description.
